About Me.

Hi, my name is ASHBEL, a freelance photographer based in Singapore.

I started taking photos on a very cute and colourful toy camera when I was 12 years old. I then became very interested in film photography, where I bought my first film SLR when I was 16 years old. That translated to an obsession with imagery and visuals. When I was serving my National Service (NS), I got my first DSLR and I made friends who were very passionate about photography as well. We would go out to shoot whenever we could and those experiences made me realize how much I loved photography because it was a fun escape from reality.

I have been doing freelance work since 2018 and I am constantly trying to create images with more heart. I want to create images that not only tell you a good story, but also make you feel something.
